Overview

The bulk of my work at NAU Extended Campuses is designing and overseeing the development of tools like this one: a database management tool to help our faculty and staff around the state do their jobs more efficiently, with less friction, with more joy.

This particular tool is used to quickly look up records of faculty who have previously taught at NAU, or add new faculty to the system.

Design Process

Requirements, as provided by one of our Business Analysts (who serve as Product Managers), are whiteboarded in collaboration with our senior developers to create a project scope and timeline.

Design documents like this Process Map and Page Map help us to get our thoughts in order.

Wireframes help our team to get ideas down and iterate quickly. We also use them to communicate with our clients.
